I am organised, analytical and client-focused, with experience across CVLs and MVLs, and a strong emphasis on communication, efficiency and supporting clients through complex insolvency matters with confidence.
Before joining Parker Walsh, I gained experience in CVLs and MVLs in my previous roles, firstly in a pre-appointment team and then cradle to grave case management, where I developed strong skills in communication, organisation and supporting clients through important decisions.
I found success by finding a niche i.e. improving and streamlining processes by learning how to use IPS and Excel effectively to enhance my work and provide consistency.
My role at Parker Walsh focuses on complex cases and investigations, I particularly enjoy helping to make the insolvency process clearer for clients by ensuring communication is straightforward and timely.
First Class Honours in Politics at Manchester Metropolitan University, this included an exchange year in Helsinki and Hong Kong.
I continue to develop my knowledge of insolvency and business recovery through practical case experience.
I have worked on a number of cases where directors were initially unsure of their responsibilities and the potential implications of insolvency. In one instance, I supported directors during a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL), where timing was a key concern.
By clearly explaining the process, particularly HMRC procedures and the information requirements needed to bring the Liquidation to a closure, I was able to help them understand how proactive engagement and prompt cooperation can significantly impact how quickly a Liquidation can be finalised. This approach gave the directors confidence in the process and helped ensure matters progressed as efficiently as possible towards closure.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is the variety and complexity of the cases I work on. No two situations are ever the same, which keeps the work engaging and continually develops my skills. I particularly enjoy the investigative side, where I can analyse financial information, identify key issues and piece together a clear understanding of what has happened within a business. Just as importantly, I value the opportunity to support clients and directors through what is often a very stressful time.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the cinema, trying out different beers and exploring new countries, with a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan standing out as a particular highlight.
